We are learning about equal sharing

If mum had 18 lollies and she had 2 children, how many lollies would they each get?

If a farmer had 4 fields and 16 cows, how many cows would he put into each field?

If I was an animal, I would be a ...

If I was an animal I would be a horse because I think I am a gentle person. Horses can run fast and so can I. I think I am a friendly person just like a horse because they like being with people. – Nathaniel

If I was an animal I would be a lizard because I am as fast as a rocket. I have dry skin and I like lying in the sun. I can be as still as a statue. I’m good at hiding. – Ethan

On Tuesday Room 5 was seeing which animal they are like. I think I am an eagle because I am fast and it is the fastest flying thing. Also they protect their family and so do I. Sometimes I like to be alone and quiet. – Cameron

If I were an animal I would be a gecko because they are very fast and good at escaping like me. They also lose their tail when they are scared that’s a bit like me, when I am scared I try to camouflage myself. I am shy like a gecko. I am gentle like a gecko too. – Logan

If I was an animal I would be a horse because I am friendly and so are horses. I am gentle and I like to be with people. I can run really fast but sometimes I get really tired and have to stop. I have good eye contact and I am good at jumping and so are horses. – Aysha

If I were an animal I would be an Ankylosaurus because I don’t like things disturbing me. I’m strong and an Ankylosaurus is strong too. They’re sometimes dangerous and I’m sometimes dangerous . I would like to be like one of them. - Stirling
